Ingredients/Components
- carrots, grated - 1 lb
- sugar - 2 c
- whole eggs - 4 item
- orange extract - 1 tsp
- cake flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Wesson oil - 7/8 c
- chopped walnuts - 1/4 c
How to make carrot cake:
Make sure all teaspoons are level when measuring.Grease and flour round hole pan. Preheat oven for 15 minutes at 350° before putting cake in. Mix carrots with sugar. Add whole eggs, one at a time. Blend well. Add extract and beat well. Sift dry ingredients 3 times or more. Add to carrot mixture. Add oil and walnuts last. Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven. Invert to cool.
