Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped popcorn - 6 qt
How to make caramel corn:
Melt butter. Stir in sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popcorn; mix well. Spread into large shallow baking pans or cookie sheets. Bake in oven at 250° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
