  • milk
  • eggs, beaten - 4 item
  • dry mustard - 3/4 tsp
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • can mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
  • shredded cheese - 2 c
  • sausage, fried
  • seasoned croutons

How to make breakfast casserole:

Spread croutons in 9 x 13-inch lightly greased pan. Cook sausage and cover croutons with it. Mix eggs, milk, soup, mushrooms and mustard together and pour over croutons and sausage. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Remove; let stand 30 minutes before putting in oven. Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes, uncovered. Add cheese and cook 5 more minutes.
