Sausage pinwheels



  • salt - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • sifted plain flour - 2 c
  • pork sausage - 1 lb
  • baking powder if using sweet milk - 1 Tbsp

How to make sausage pinwheels:

Roll dough into an 18 x 12-inch rectangle. Spread pork sausage over dough, leaving 1/2 inch margin on all sides (may add grated cheese, if desired). Carefully roll dough lengthwise, jelly roll fashion. Pinch seam and ends to seal. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Slice dough into 1/4-inch slices. Arrange 1 inch apart on baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 25 minutes or until browned.
