Belgian stew
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 3 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- beef bouillon cubes - 2 item
- lean stewing beef in cubes - 1 lb
- chopped diced shallots - 4 item
How to make belgian stew:
Brown and drain the beef cubes. Add brown sugar and caramelize into meat. Add 2 cups water, beef cubes, bay leaves, garlic (crushed) and shallots. Simmer for 2 hours, stirring frequently and never allowing to loose level of liquid. Thicken to desired consistency with cornstarch.
