Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- clove garlic - 1 item
- fat - 3 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can mushrooms with broth - 13 oz
- beef round or sirloin, cut in thin, narrow 2-inch slices - 2 lb
How to make beef stroganoff:
Brown meat in fat. Add onions, garlic and celery. Cook until golden. Stir in flour; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Turn into a 3-quart greased casserole. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Cover casserole for first hour. Serve on noodles or mashed potatoes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
