Mock sukiyaki
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- mushrooms
- celery optional - 1 c
- bell pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
- round steak, cut in thin strips - 1 lb
- onion, thin sliced - 1 item
How to make mock sukiyaki:
Brown the steak; add beef broth, vegetables and soy sauce. Cover; simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Stir often. Combine 1/4 cup water and cornstarch. Stir into mixture. Simmer until thickened. Serve over rice.Can be colorful if you use the red and green peppers.
