Simply elegant steak and rice
Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil
- garlic salt
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- beef bouillon - 1/2 c
- hot, cooked rice - 3 c
- tenderized, boneless beef round steak, cut into thin strips
- large onions, cut into slices and separated into rings - 2 item
- can sliced mushrooms, drained but reserve liquid - 1 oz
How to make simply elegant steak and rice:
In large skillet, brown meat in oil, using high heat. Add onions; saute until tender-crisp. Blend soup, bouillon, liquid from mushrooms and garlic salt; pour over steak. Add mushrooms. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender. Serve over beds of fluffy rice. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Main dish, Meat.
