Shanghai casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 1/2
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped celery - 2 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onions - 1 c
- ground beef - 2 lb
- can Chinese noodles - 1 item
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
How to make shanghai casserole:
Brown ground beef in oil; add chopped onion and cook until tender. Pour off drippings. Cook vegetables in water for 5 minutes and drain. Combine vegetables, soup, salt, pepper, soy sauce and celery. Stir into meat. Place in 2 1/2-quart casserole. Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Remove cover and sprinkle with Chinese noodles. Bake 5 minutes longer.
