Asparagus casserole
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1 c
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- can asparagus - 1 1/2
- hard-boiled eggs optional - 2 item
How to make asparagus casserole:
Drain asparagus and reserve liquid. Add mushroom soup, diluted with 2 tablespoons of asparagus liquid. Brown bread crumbs in butter. Put asparagus mixture in casserole dish and bake in a 300° oven for 15 minutes. Cover with bread crumbs and brown.Just before serving, add grated cheese. Return to oven to melt cheese, approximately 3 minutes.
Hard-boiled eggs may be added to asparagus mixture.
