  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • pumpkin - 1 lb
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • egg substitute - 1 c
  • apple juice - 2/3 c
  • salt substitute - 2 tsp

How to make amish pumpkin bread:

Mix sugar, oil and egg substitute together. Add pumpkin. Add dry ingredients, then add apple juice, stirring until just mixed. Pour batter into two greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until it tests done. The second loaf can be wrapped in foil and kept in freezer for a few weeks.
