Amish pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- pumpkin - 1 lb
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- egg substitute - 1 c
- apple juice - 2/3 c
- salt substitute - 2 tsp
How to make amish pumpkin bread:
Mix sugar, oil and egg substitute together. Add pumpkin. Add dry ingredients, then add apple juice, stirring until just mixed. Pour batter into two greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until it tests done. The second loaf can be wrapped in foil and kept in freezer for a few weeks.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Amish/mennonite.
