Vegetable chowder
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- water
- chopped celery - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- low-fat milk - 2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- corn - 2 c
- medium onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- margarine or olive oil - 4 Tbsp
- canned tomatoes, drained 15 oz - 1 c
How to make vegetable chowder:
In a large soup pot, cook vegetables and water, covered, about 30 minutes until tender. In medium saucepan, melt margarine/oil and blend in the flour. Gradually add the milk and cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Add this to the soup pot. Stir well.Recipe categories: Low calorie, Soups & stews, Chowders.
