Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper
- stewed tomatoes - 2 c
- rice uncooked - 3/4 c
- beef stew - 1 lb
How to make tomato and rice soup:
Brown beef in 1 tablespoon shortening. Add water, tomatoes, pepper and salt. Bring to a brisk boil. Add rice and allow to boil a second time. Cover and reduce heat 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Low cholesterol, Low calorie, Soups & stews.
