Fiesta tamale pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- cornmeal - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- shredded American cheese - 1 c
- small onion - 1 item
- bulk pork sausage - 1/4 lb
- to 24 pitted ripe olives - 20 item
How to make fiesta tamale pie:
Heat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook and stir ground beef, pork sausage, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, corn, olives and seasonings. Heat to boiling. Pour into ungreased dish, 8 x 8 x 2-inch or 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch or a 2-quart casserole. Mix cornmeal, milk and eggs. Pour over meat mixture.
