Ingredients/Components
- milk
- flour - 2/3 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- heavy cream - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onions, chopped - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 3/4 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- chicken stock - 3 c
- carrots, chopped - 1 c
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
- bacon, diced - 1/2 lb
How to make cheddar cheese soup:
Saute bacon in butter until crisp and brown. Remove bacon and drain. Add vegetables to bacon drippings and cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is transparent.
