- sugar
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- flour
- butter - 1/4 lb
- pepper - 1 tsp
- sprigs parsley - 14 item
- chopped tomatoes - 3 gal
- medium onions - 8 item
- bay leaves - 12 item
- whole cloves - 20 item
- stems celery - 14 item
How to make tomato soup:
Cook all the vegetables, cloves and bay leaves together until soft. Put through strainer. Mix flour, sugar, salt and 2 cups water. Add to heated tomato mixture. Add butter. Stir until boiling. Put in jars leaving about 1/4 inch headspace. I put in pressure cooker 30 minutes at 10 pounds.Recipe categories: Fruit, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
