- ripe tomatoes - 14 qt
- medium onions - 7 item
- stalk celery - 1 item
- sprigs parsley - 14 item
- bay leaves - 3 item
- flour - 14 Tbsp
- butter - 14 Tbsp
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- sugar - 8 Tbsp
- pepper - 2 tsp
How to make tomato soup:
Wash and cut up tomatoes. Chop onions, celery, parsley and bay leaves. Add to tomatoes; cook until celery is tender. Put through sieve. Combine flour and butter until you have a smooth paste. Thin with a small amount of cooled tomato juice. Add to boiling soup, stirring to prevent scorching.
