Sweet and sour carrots
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- carrots - 2 lb
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- medium green pepper - 1 item
- can undiluted tomato soup - 1 item
How to make sweet and sour carrots:
Sauce:1 c. sugar1/2 c. oil1 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. salt1 tsp. black pepper1 can undiluted tomato soup Slice and cook carrots in unsalted water until tender. Chop green pepper and onion (do not cook). Add to drained carrots.Sauce: Combine ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over carrots. Refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.
