Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- crumbled corn bread - 2 c
- shredded Cheddar - 1 c
- cooked squash, well drained - 2 c
- Durkee French fried onions - 1 item
How to make squash casserole:
Chop onion and cook in 1 stick margarine until onion is transparent. Mash squash with fork. Combine onion and margarine with slightly beaten eggs. Add soup, squash and bread crumbs. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Pour into greased casserole dish and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Before last 10 minutes of baking, top casserole with Cheddar cheese and French fried onions.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
