Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can tomato bits - 1 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- dried parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- dry red wine - 1/3 c
- garlic cloves, pressed - 2 item
- dried oregano - 2 tsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- dried thyme - 1/4 tsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Brown beef and onions in a large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Makes about 4 1/2 cups.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
