Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • parsley flakes - 2 tsp
  • dry red wine - 1/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • onions, chopped - 1/2 c
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
  • Italian herb seasoning - 1 Tbsp
  • or 3/4 lb - 3 c
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles - 1/2 lb
  • grated parmesan cheese to taste - 1 item

How to make lasagna:

In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is done. Do not drain the meat. Pour meat and onions in large bowl. Add all the remaining ingredients to the meat and onions, except the noodles and parmesan cheese.

In bottom of a 13x9x2 inch baking dish, put 2 cups of the above sauce and spread it out evenly. Now add a layer of uncooked noodles (use 6 noodles). Now add 2 cups sauce, another layer of noodles with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle top with parmesan cheese as desired. Cover casserole tightly with foil and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 1 hour. Remove lasagna from the oven and let it sit for 30 minutes before you uncover and serve it. Serves 12.
