  • cloves garlic, minced - 4 item
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 Tbsp
  • basil - 1 Tbsp
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic cloves, minced - 5 item
  • medium onions, chopped - 2 item
  • crushed oregano - 1 Tbsp
  • to 4 eggs - 3 item
  • water or more
  • cans crushed tomatoes - 2 oz
  • medium onions, minced - 2 item
  • can puree - 1 oz
  • baking soda optional - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato paste Contadina - 1 oz
  • to 3 bay leaves whole - 2 item
  • link hot sausage - 1 item
  • link mild sausage - 1 item
  • Add tomato paste
  • slices bread, grated in food processor not prepared bread crumbs - 6 item

How to make spaghetti sauce:

In a large stainless steel saucepot, saute onions and garlic in oil until lightly browned. Add tomato paste. Scald with onions. Add crushed tomatoes, puree, oregano, Parmesan cheese, bay leaves, basil, salt and pepper, parsley and sausages, cut into 3-inch pieces. Add water. Add baking soda if you want to cut the acid. Cook 3 hours. Use a screen cover instead of a regular cover on the saucepot. Stir occasionally.Meatballs:2 lb. ground chuck2 medium onions, minced4 cloves garlic, minced salt and pepper to taste2 Tbsp. parsley1 Tbsp. oregano1/2 c. Parmesan cheese3 to 4 eggs6 slices bread, grated in food processor (not prepared bread crumbs) Mix all ingredients. Form into desired meatball size. Brown in frypan. Drain on paper towel. Add to spaghetti sauce for continued cooking.
