Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 c
  • cooking oil - 1 pt
  • oregano
  • basil
  • onions - 3 lb
  • garlic bulbs - 2 item
  • bushel tomatoes, juiced - 1/2 item
  • handful parsley - 1/2 item
  • cans tomato paste or more - 8 oz

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Cook juice, onions and garlic about 20 minutes until soft. Add everything else except tomato paste. Cook 1/2 hour. Add paste; cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Cold pack 10 minutes. Heat canning lids before use.
