- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1 pt
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- green peppers - 3 item
- onions - 3 lb
- bushel tomatoes - 1/2 item
- garlic bulbs - 2 item
- small cans tomato paste - 8 item
How to make canned spaghetti sauce:
Cook tomatoes in hot water bath. Remove peeling. Quarter and put in large canning pot. Cook tomatoes and garlic until tender. Chop peppers and onions. Add with spices and cook on medium-low until thickened. Pour into containers and turn upside-down.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Tomato.
