Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1/3 c
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • clove garlic - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • celery, chopped - 1/2 c
  • dash of hot sauce - 1 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 item
  • medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item

How to make shrimp creole:

Steam onion, garlic, celery and pepper in bacon fat. Add flour, salt, chili powder and sugar and brown like gravy. Add water and simmer a few minutes. Add tomatoes and vinegar and cook about 15 minutes. Add cooked shrimp. Serve on rice.
