Cowboy stew
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- water - 3 c
- oleo - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1/2 item
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- ground meat - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped - 4 item
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- medium potatoes, cubed - 6 item
- cans Ranch Style beans - 2 item
How to make cowboy stew:
Brown ground meat in oleo. Drain. Add other ingredients in the order listed with potatoes added last. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently to keep from scorching. Lower heat and cover; simmer until potatoes are soft, 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Southwestern u.s., Stew.
