Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- chili powder
- clove garlic - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 item
- cans kidney beans undrained - 2 item
How to make chili:
Brown the beef. Add other ingredients, except beans, cooking oil and flour; cover and simmer for 1 hour. In a small bowl, mix oil and flour together until smooth; add undrained kidney beans. Add mixture to kettle. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
