Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • 3 oz - 1 lb
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • diced green pepper - 1/2 c
  • cooked, cleaned shrimp - 2 c
  • diced celery - 1 c
  • small bay leaf - 1/2 item
  • dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
  • drops Tabasco sauce - 4 item
  • coarsely chopped onions - 1 c
  • small clove garlic, finely minced - 1 item

How to make shrimp creole:

Melt Parkay (butter) in frypan. Add onions, celery and garlic. Cook slowly until tender but not brown. Add flour and seasonings; stir until blended. Stir in green pepper and tomatoes. Cook for 10 minutes over low heat. Add shrimp and heat thoroughly. Makes 6 servings.
