Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- medium onion - 1 item
- celery, diced - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- green pepper - 1 item
- 2 can tomatoes
- fresh shrimp, boiled, peeled and deveined - 1 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute chopped onion in butter until limp. Add flour and blend until brown. Add tomatoes, minced pepper, celery, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and salt. Cover and cook over low heat until thickened. Add shrimp to sauce and simmer 20 minutes. Serve with fluffy rice. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
