Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 3/4 c
  • chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped reserve liquid - 1 oz
  • uncooked shrimp, cleaned - 1 lb
  • envelope Lipton golden onion soup with real chicken broth - 1 item

How to make shrimp creole:

In a medium skillet, melt butter and cook green pepper and celery until tender. Add golden onion soup mix blended with reserved liquid and water, tomatoes and parsley. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Add shrimp and cook 5 minutes or until shrimp are done. Serve, if desired, with hot cooked rice.
