Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- celery, chopped
- can tomatoes, mashed - 1 oz
- can tomato puree - 1 oz
- sugar - 1 tsp
- bay leaves - 2 item
- rosemary - 1/4 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- white wine or water as needed - 1/2 c
- medium shrimp, cooked and peeled - 1 lb
- small bell pepper, cut into rather large squares - 1 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Add olive oil to a large, hot skillet and saut?© the onion, garlic and celery until soft. Add all of the rest of ingredients (except shrimp and bell pepper) and simmer for 45 minutes or as long as 1 1/2 hours.
