  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • celery salt - 1/4 tsp
  • sharp American cheese - 1/2 lb
  • sliced peeled carrots - 12 item

How to make scalloped carrots:

Cook carrots and drain. Put margarine in saucepan. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, pepper and celery salt. Add milk and stir until smooth. In a 2-quart casserole, arrange layer of carrots, then layer of cheese slices until both are used up with carrots
