Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- sage flavored bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
- dash of Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce - 1 item
How to make sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage in a large skillet or saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Add onion. Cook until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour. Cook over medium heat about 6 minutes. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook until thick. Spoon over biscuits.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Breakfast, Pork.
