Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 qt
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 6 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • sage flavored bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce - 1 item

How to make sausage gravy:

Crumble sausage in a large skillet or saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Add onion. Cook until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour. Cook over medium heat about 6 minutes. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook until thick. Spoon over biscuits.
