Ingredients/Components
- nutmeg - 1 item
- heavy cream - 1 pt
- mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
- eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- Gruyere cheese, grated - 8 oz
- bacon, chopped - 1/2 lb
- frozen spinach, chopped and thawed - 1 pkg
- pie crust frozen is okay - 1 item
How to make quiche lorraine:
Prepare pie crust and preheat oven to 350°. Saute bacon, onions and mushrooms until bacon is done and onions are clear. Squeeze as much water out of spinach as possible. Add to bacon mixture and cook 3 more minutes. Set aside. Mix eggs, cream and cheese. Press bacon/spinach mixture in bottom of crust. Pour cream mixture on top.
