Ingredients/Components

  • nutmeg - 1 item
  • heavy cream - 1 pt
  • mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • Gruyere cheese, grated - 8 oz
  • bacon, chopped - 1/2 lb
  • frozen spinach, chopped and thawed - 1 pkg
  • pie crust frozen is okay - 1 item

How to make quiche lorraine:

Prepare pie crust and preheat oven to 350°. Saute bacon, onions and mushrooms until bacon is done and onions are clear. Squeeze as much water out of spinach as possible. Add to bacon mixture and cook 3 more minutes. Set aside. Mix eggs, cream and cheese. Press bacon/spinach mixture in bottom of crust. Pour cream mixture on top. Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake approximately 45 minutes.
