  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • white sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • large can pumpkin - 1 item
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • small can cream - 1 item
  • Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan
  • cake mix - 1 c

How to make pumpkin squares:

Save 1 cup of cake mix for topping.

Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan. Mix cake mix (all but 1 cup), 1 egg, and margarine. Press into bottom of pan. Mix in a bowl: brown sugar, pumpkin, 3 eggs, cinnamon and cream. Pour over pressed dough.Topping:1/4 c. margarine1/2 c. white sugar1 c. cake mix1 c. chopped nuts Mix together and sprinkle on top of pumpkin. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until brown.
