Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
  • egg white - 1 item
  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
  • sliced, fresh peaches - 6 c
  • chilled margarine, cut into 6 pieces - 1/4 c

How to make peach pie:

Beat egg white until foamy; brush over the bottom and sides of pastry. In a small bowl, combine flour and sugars; cut in margarine until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Sprinkle two-thirds into the bottom of the pastry; top with peaches. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
