  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • light or dark corn syrup - 3/4 c
  • unbaked 9-inch pie crust - 1 item

How to make pecan cream cheese pie:

In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla and the salt until thick, creamy and smooth. Reserve. In another small bowl, beat 3 eggs just until yolks and whites are combined. Add the corn syrup, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat gently until blended. Spread reserved cream cheese mixture in the bottom of unbaked pie shell; sprinkle with the pecans and gently pour the syrup mixture over the pecans. Bake at 375° until the center is firm to the touch, about 35 to 40 minutes. Do not overbake.
