Oriental chicken
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1/2 c
- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- cans water chestnuts - 2 item
- large green pepper, sliced - 1 item
- dash of garlic - 1 item
- large carrots, sliced - 4 item
- cornstarch heaping - 2 Tbsp
- head broccoli, cut up - 1 item
- chicken fillets, cut up - 2 pkg
- or 2 cans Chinese vegetables, drained - 1 item
How to make oriental chicken:
Brown chicken in oil; remove. Add onion and pepper to oil; stir-fry for one minute. Return chicken to pan. Add broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts and Chinese vegetables. Cover and let simmer until vegetables are tender, but not mushy. Add dash of garlic. Mix soy sauce and cornstarch; add to vegetable mixture and stir to coat vegetables. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Meat.
