Oriental chicken
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- can chow mein noodles - 1 oz
- ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- whole chicken breasts - 2 item
- small onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- sliced celery - 1 c
- can bean sprouts - 1 oz
- can sliced water chestnuts, drained - 1 oz
- medium green pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
How to make oriental chicken:
Cut chicken into thin strips. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add chicken and cook over moderate heat until meat turns white (approximately 5 minutes). Add pepper, onion, celery, chestnuts, water, salt and ginger. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Blend cornstarch and soy sauce together. Stir into chicken. Add bean sprouts and cook about 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir often. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Chicken, Poultry, Meat.
