Chicken chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- can chow mein noodles - 1 item
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- cooked chicken - 1 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- stalks celery - 10 item
- medium onions - 4 item
- mushrooms - 1/4 lb
- green pepper - 1 item
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- rice, cooked - 3 c
How to make chicken chow mein:
Cut up pepper, celery and mushrooms. Melt butter in a large pan. Add onions and saute until they turn yellow. Add green pepper, celery and broth. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken mixture slightly, then add mushrooms, seasonings, chicken and bean sprouts. Cook 10 minutes longer.
