Ingredients/Components

  • Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • stick butter or margarine - 1 item
  • stack crushed Ritz crackers - 1 item
  • extra large white sweet onions - 5 item

How to make onion casserole:

Peel and slice onions into thin rings. Saute slowly in butter until limp. Pour 1/2 of the onions into a greased casserole. Cover with Parmesan cheese and cracker crumbs. Repeat layers. Bake in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 6 to 8 servings.

When in season, I use Vidalia onions.
