No knead rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1/4 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- milk, scalded - 1 c
How to make no knead rolls:
Soften yeast in water in cup. Combine milk, sugar, shortening and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Beat in yeast and 1 egg, slightly beaten. Gradually add remaining 2 1/2 cups flour to the soft dough, beating well. Cover and let rise until double. Oil your hands and shape into balls. Put in greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Let rise again.
