- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- flour - 5 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- warm water
- mustard - 1 item
- oregano - 1 item
- salami - 1 item
- dry yeast - 1 Tbsp
- Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- boiled ham - 1 item
- sausage, browned and drained - 1 item
- white American cheese - 1 item
- Filling: Mozzarella cheese
- onion, pepper and tomato - 1 item
How to make stromboli:
Filling: Mozzarella cheese Cheddar cheese white American cheese sausage, browned and drained salami boiled ham onion, pepper and tomato oregano mustard Baking Temperature: 425°. Baking Time: 10 to 15 minutes.Make Dough: Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Add remaining ingredients, beating vigorously. Knead until smooth. Let rise until double.
Punch down, divide dough in two. Roll each piece on a greased cookie sheet. Spread mustard on top of dough and fill with your choice of ingredients, putting them down the center of dough. Lift sides of dough and seal top and ends. Bake. Slice to serve. Yield: 2 Strombolis, 12 servings.
