Mussels in white wine sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- fresh chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- white wine dry - 1/4 c
- mussels, washed and debearded - 2 lb
- small tomato, peeled, seeded and diced - 1 item
- cold butter, cubed - 3 4
How to make mussels in white wine sauce:
Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in large pot (big enough to hold mussels). Add onion and parsley. Cook over medium heat until fragrant. Add garlic and wine. Cook about 1 minute. Add mussels and tomatoes. Cover and cook until mussels have opened (3 to 5 minutes).Remove mussels to bowl (discard any that did not open). Remove pot from heat and quickly whisk in butter to make a creamy sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.
