Mixed vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- large onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
- diced celery - 1 c
- medium cabbage, shredded - 1 item
- green pepper, thinly sliced - 1/2 item
- carrots, thinly sliced - 2 item
- cucumbers, thinly sliced - 2 item
- red pepper, thinly sliced - 1/2 item
How to make mixed vegetable salad:
Combine vegetables and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients until sugar dissolves. Mix all together and toss well. Chill thoroughly before serving. (Best if chilled overnight.)Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Salads, Main dish.
