  • boneless beef, cubed - 3 lb
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • bacon drippings - 3 Tbsp
  • can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz
  • can whole green chiles, drained - 1 oz
  • beef broth - 1/2 c
  • chicken broth - 1/2 c
  • garlic salt - 2 tsp
  • pepper - 2 tsp
  • ground cumin - 1 tsp
  • to 4 potatoes, sliced - 3 item

How to make mexican stew:

Brown beef and onion in bacon drippings in Dutch oven. Add next 7 ingredients; bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer 1 hour. Add potatoes, cover and simmer 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
