Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • shredded lettuce - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 item
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • chopped tomatoes - 1 item
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • instant rice optional - 3/4 c
  • avocados - 1 item
  • Fritos corn chips - 1 item
  • taco sauce optional - 1 item

How to make mexican stew:

Brown onion with ground beef. Add tomato sauce and paste. Add 3 paste cans water. Add spices and chopped garlic; simmer 40 minutes. Stir in instant rice; let sit 5 minutes without heat. Spoon over corn chips; top with lettuce, tomatoes, avocados and cheese. Add taco sauce as desired.
