Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- yellow cornmeal - 1 c
- can creamed corn - 1 3/4
How to make mexican corn bread:
In bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients and add to dry ingredients. Stir only until moistened. Pour into greased 9-inch square baking dish or 10-inch heavy skillet.
