Marinated carrots
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- mustard - 1 tsp
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- medium green pepper, diced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce optional - 1 tsp
- carrots, peeled, cooked until almost tender, then sliced - 5 c
How to make marinated carrots:
Arrange first 3 ingredients in layers. Combine the rest and bring to boil. Pour over carrots, etc. Chill at least 12 hours. When serving, remove carrots, etc. with a slotted spoon, from the marinade which can be used again. Can be made days ahead of time.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Carrots.
