Lima bean casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- catsup - 1 c
- horseradish - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire - 1 tsp
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- dried small lima beans - 2 c
- liquid from beans - 1/4 c
How to make lima bean casserole:
Soak beans overnight or boil 2 minutes and soak 1 hour. Add salt; boil gently 45 minutes. Drain and save. Fry sausage until brown; mix all ingredients. Place layer of beans, then layer of sausage and top with layer of beans. Bake 15 minutes in oven of 400°.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Beans.
